Anyone who knows me, knows how "sentimental" I am...this is Papa's tool pouch, with the last tools he used in it. My Aunt Marilyn took me, Brad and the girls inside his workshop today. Papa was an amazing, meticulous wood worker!!! I got to see, and choose a few of the pieces he made...all of which will be going in Bailee's "Cowgirl Room". To have this means so much to me. I only wish that I had found my love of wood working when he was still creating his masterpieces 😔...I would give anything to spend even 1 hour inside that work shop with him, learning from him. We would've had such a great time together. I know he knows how much this means to me, and I hope it makes him happy to know that I will use this every time I create one of my pieces!!! My Aunt Marilyn has asked me to restore a table that was made by Brad's Great Grandfather, who was actually Papa's teacher. I'm going to put every ounce of knowledge I possess in to restoring that table! I can't wait to go pick it up next weekend, and put this tool belt to good use. I love and miss you so much Papa...and I KNOW you'll be right by me when I start this project. Thank you for being such an amazing Grandfather to us, and for loving me as your own! I hope I can make you proud!
