Longer boards make for a better install, and a better looking floor.

For projects where a worn, rustic character is part of the brief, wire brushing is one of the most effective finishing techniques available.

The process removes the softest parts of the wood grain, leaving a subtly textured surface that catches light in a way a smooth finish doesn't.

The grain, the finish, the way colour reads in real light, these things need to be seen and felt in person to be properly understood.

This private residence in Cordillera Ranch was built to be comfortable and timeless, somewhere between rustic and refined.

WoodCo supplied custom finished, character grade European oak for the floors and stairs, while reclaimed hand-hewn beams from a century-old Ohio barn frame the ceilings and fireplace mantle – each one carrying over a century of history into a new home.

The coffered ceiling, finished in Wheaten Wallboard reclaimed pine, is a detail worth looking up for.
