Lots of pieces coming through their first (bisque) firings right now. My kiln generally holds four shelves full, depending on the height of the items. Making use of available space is top priority and in these bisque firings, things can touch and get packed in tight. For glaze firings, items that touch become fused together. Four weeks until my first fall show- time to get glazing.
