Win or learn. This weekend was an honor to compete side by side with my teammates. Being a Coach is a blessing and I am proud to be a part of the team. I may have not taken first but that's fine. The most important thing was I was there for my teammates and we took home lessons learned so we can all get better together. 🙏
For my kids that beat themselves up before their matches began, it's okay to be scared, but remember to not let that fear win. We are all scared to try something new at times and that's just normal we are human. Step up to the fear and do your best to overcome it. Remember it's you verses you. You are your only competition.
For my kids who beat themselves for not beating the other person, just remember there will be other chances. Sometimes we just get the best of ourselves and we are often our own biggest critics. Just learn from our mistakes, make mistakes often but always, always learn from them. Because the person that never takes the shot will always miss.
To my Mentors and Professors and thank you for being in my corner and all the time you have given me to make me better on and off the mats.
