And that’s a wrap on our Jewell St. project 🤍 This beauty was two years in the making, and we could not be happier with how it turned out. Every inch of this home has intention behind it, with our clients’ needs, lifestyle, and the way they truly live at the center of every decision.

Constant communication with Scottway , weekly check-ins (and plenty in between), and a whole lot of collaboration kept us moving forward every step of the way. Seeing two years of ideas, decisions, details, and hard work finally come together makes the finished home that much sweeter

Clients come to us all the time wondering if and how we can incorporate their own furniture and decor into a newly transformed space. We wanted to share a few great examples from past projects where we did just that, along with a few tips and tricks we’ve learned along the way.

•Accessories like throw pillows, blankets, coffee table books, plants and new artwork can do wonders for freshening up an older sofa, chair or room. Sometimes it really is the little things that make everything feel new again.

•We do bedding refreshes all the time. It’s one of the easiest and most cost effective ways to completely transform a bedroom without having to start from scratch.

•Have a rug that’s too small or too big? Layer your rugs! Throw a jute rug underneath a well loved statement rug. It’s such a great way to make an existing rug work better in your space while adding a little more texture and interest.

•Update your shelving and use it as an excuse to finally go through all of those books, trinkets and collected pieces you never quite get around to sorting through. You’d be surprised how different everything can feel just by editing and rearranging what you already have.

We really believe that using our clients’ existing furniture and decor is such an important part of the design process. Not everything has to be new! Those are often the pieces that have the most history and meaning, and finding a way to give them new life is what helps bring our clients’ heart and personality through in the finished space.

Happy Monday from Team M. Swabb 💌

This guest room is full of thoughtful design (just how we like it). Plenty of storage for our guests to unpack and settle in with extra room for our clients to store all the necessities. Built-in bedside nooks to charge your devices and dim the sconces without leaving bed… got that too. ✔️

It’s those thoughtful little details that turn a guest room into an experience

We know all of these decisions aren’t easy (Maeg especially). No choice feels quite as hard as the one you’re making for yourself. Visions aren’t always crystal clear, second-guessing creeps in, and decision fatigue can stop you dead in your tracks.

And yes,designers have those days too!!
