We went out to one of those overly expensive steak dinners recently (we were traveling) and of course ordered a Caesar salad… because we love caesar salads...

It came with the full tableside presentation—very dramatic, very “this is special”… and then we tasted it.

SO much mustard 😳

Not bad… just very aggressive.

It actually made me come home and remake my version—the one we always have here —and I realized I hadn’t shared this one yet.

This is my creamy Caesar dressing—thick, garlicky, anchovy-packed (don’t skip them), and exactly what I want a Caesar to taste like.

Also—if you make this, please go the extra step and make homemade croutons. It’s worth it.

The Only Ranch Dressing I Make Anymore

👉🏻 Once you taste homemade ranch, the bottled stuff just doesn’t cut it anymore.

My friend Michelle gave me this recipe years ago and it has completely taken over ranch duty in my kitchen. (It's about time I finally post it, egh?!).

It takes about fifteen minutes to make — everything goes into a bowl, whisk it together, and let it rest in the refrigerator so the flavors come together.

We use it on salads, as a veggie dip, with buffalo wings, and occasionally with a bag of chips when nobody is pretending to be healthy.

The last time I served it with salad and my homemade croutons, my friend Mary told me I could probably make a fortune if I figured out how to package and sell the croutons...

Fresh croutons and fresh dressing really do take a bowl of vegetables over the top.

Add grilled chicken and suddenly dinner is done.

Two nights ago I was whipping up a typical / usual dinner in our house lovingly called Pasta Mix Up. Which means some protein, some veg, and some pasta.

When asked, what is for dinner, I'll say, "Pasta Mix Up". Hubster will generally follow that up with something like - ok, "but what kind". Ha. Like - Shrimp or Beef or Chicken or ??? Or he'll ask if it's Mexican or Italian.... You get the drift.

It was Italian Sausage (Hot), Peppers and Onions Pasta Mix Up. Also known now as Italian Sausage Veggie Pasta. Seems not too many folk would know what Italian Sausage Pasta Mix up is... hahahaha.

It was sooo good - that I had to write it down. So here we are. I know I've been remiss in getting recipes up lately - I've vowed to try to clear my backlog in March. So - watch this page for updates, check the website direct (BridgetsKitchen.com) and stay tuned. Some more yummy food coming your way soon !

I'm officially (because I'm official like that) calling these Worlds Best Cinnamon Rolls.

There was a competition. I lost with my Aunt / God Mother's Recipe (Gasp!) and this recipe won.

The best overnight cinnamon rolls: soft, gooey, cinnamon-packed spirals with cream cheese frosting. Make-ahead dough rises while you sleep. It's bakery-worthy!

Creamy Dreamy Chicken Pot Pie
