YAA-ASANTEWAA Styled Dolls.
We received an order for twin girls to customize 2 identical Dolls with a slight difference on the Tiaras bearing the Name Of YAA-ASANTEWAA and the other ASANTEWAA a tribute to Queen YAA-ASANTEWAA.
Yaa Asantewaa was a powerful Ashanti Queen Mother known for leading the fierce 1900 rebellion, the War of the Golden Stool, against British colonization in Ghana to protect Ashanti sovereignty and their sacred Golden Stool, becoming a powerful symbol of African resistance, female leadership, and anti-colonial struggle through her bravery and famous declaration that she would fight if the men wouldn't. Arise men! And defend the Golden Stool from being captured by foreigners. It is more honorable to perish in defense of the Golden Stool than to remain in perpetual slavery. I am prepared and ready to lead you to war.

Introducing the HAWAWOU styled doll. For the dress, We used west African Fabric Bazin Gezner light blue, in Guinea 🇬🇳 we call it Bakhaa, with a mixture of white bazin Gezner for the head tie. Sequin garnishment for the sleeves and lower part of the dress. We used Fashion jewelry white, blue and gold to compliment the outfit.
