where her love for arts and crafts took root at a very young age. This passion for creating followed her through her school years. However, as life often goes, her artistic pursuits took a backseat as she prioritized school, friendships, and entering the workforce. It took nearly 15 years and a significant life event for Kate to rediscover her love for pottery. In 2022, after the passing of her beloved mother, she felt a profound urge to reconnect with what truly brought her joy. This led her to enroll in a six-week pottery course at a local studio in San Diego, California. It was there, at the wheel, that she found solace and a new passion. The process was humbling and challenging, yet it became her sanctuary—a place to unwind, embrace the messiness, and escape the daily grind and grief. With each spin of the wheel, Kate fell deeper in love with the craft. The supportive community at the studio played a crucial role in honing her skills, encouraging her to push boundaries and explore new techniques. She takes immense pride in creating pieces that reflect both the complexity and beauty of the handmade process.
