A well-designed kitchen must balance function and atmosphere. It should support our clients’ daily lives and elevate how they gather, cook, and live. At zero ten design, we approach each kitchen with intention. At every stage, we study proportion, light, and materials to shape spaces that work seamlessly and feel truly connected to the home.

Perched atop one of San Francisco’s iconic hills, this full residential remodel transforms a narrow 1970s home into a modern, light-filled retreat. A 40-foot steel moment frame and expansive glazing replace the existing rear wall to open the living spaces to sweeping views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge, while terraced landscaping turns a formerly underutilized backyard into a spa deck and play area. This thoughtful redesign maximizes the property’s potential for outdoor living, while embracing the natural landscape, providing the homeowners with an elevated living experience and unrivaled views.

Roam Artisan Burger’s latest location at Corte Madera Town Center represents an architectural rebrand for this well-known Bay Area restaurant. We were proud to help shape that vision through a technical remodel, including a complete interior overhaul as well as a new façade and outdoor dining area.
Working closely with the Roam team, we reimagined the new design around their updated identity: one that is authentic, warm, and tactile.

Inside, natural plaster, hickory, and stone are a subtle nod to the authenticity and craft behind Roam’s offerings. Expressive arches, custom millwork, and layered lighting organize the space, while the wrap-around banquette anchors the dining experience. Outside, the new façade highlights the duality of the design: large panes of glass open to and reflect the perfect weather in Marin County, while a smaller “shack” evokes a simpler agrarian aesthetic. Both act as a stunning backdrop to a communal fire pit and outdoor dining area.

Over the past few years, it’s been a privilege to contribute to the transformation of a quiet corner of downtown Napa through the designs of a series of retail and hospitality projects. Moulin Artisan Bakery is our latest creation, bringing light, greenery, and warmth to the nexus of First Street Alley.
Moulin occupies a building remodeled by zero ten design, one designed with the specific intent of strengthening the tenant’s connection to the alley. A double-height glass façade opens directly onto the brick paved sidewalk, extending the experience of the bakery outward and reinforcing its relationship to the public realm.
The overall architecture supports our larger vision for the alley as a shared public space. Outdoor seating, layered plantings, and overhead string lights have now transformed what was once a utilitarian side street into a place for gathering, both day and night.
