For Dara and Judson’s celebration on Lake Como, they chose the fairytale setting of With an intimate guest count, it is becoming more common to keep the dinner setting lakeside, which results in a frenzied 90-minute flip from ceremony to dinner styling. 1000s of hydrangeas, peonies, and the bride’s favorite allium transformed the setting into a lush garden landscape.

When we first saw the abbey at Le Mont-Saint-Michel, I was overwhelmed by its 1000 year-old beauty, grandeur, and logistical challenge. I knew that the only way to make a presence at such a venue was to thoughtfully and intentionally paint it with flowers - not to take away from its beauty - but to enhance what was already there by telling a color story.

*Fun fact: the Dior crew did everything they could to get us to remove the aisle floral decor to make space for the bridal dress - but in the end we prevailed thanks to the support of the amazing planner !

Earlier this week TULIPINA had the honor and privilege of being the very first to bring floral beauty to the iconic Mont-Saint-Michel for a very special couple along side an amazing team. While the logistics were back breaking, I am beyond grateful for what I do and where I get to do it. Thank you to the amazing staff and nuns of the Abbey for welcoming me with open arms. In the past few years I have made a garden in 2 different continents - Italy and New York. The beauty of this is that I can enjoy the bounty at different times of the year (all be it very fleeting) … a quick few days in New York before I leave to teach a masterclass in Peru and then we are hit with the start of our wedding season and so very excited and grateful for what is to come. TULIPINA turns 15 this month! It is hard to believe that what once started as my hobby and creative outlet has grown into what it is today.
I have grown daffodils in my garden every spring now for years. Not for clients or events, but just for the pure joy of it.
This is what 15 years of loving flowers looks like. Not a grand installation or a destination wedding — just me, my garden, and an afternoon alone with the blooms grown in my studio in Italy - my favorite place on earth. For me somehow this feels like the most authentic way to celebrate.
Thank you to this community who has followed me along on this journey for the past 15 years. I’m so grateful for my life and for all the continued support that you have shown me from all over the world. 📸 photos by my love and ultimate cheer leader
