Tomorrow, August 15th, is the last day my store will be open. So what’s next? Art, more art. And I’ll still be taking orders for my leather goods and designing more pieces.

Here are the final Ian James x Often Wander drop-off /pick-up dates:
Drop off your refill candles with us on August 1st & 2nd.
Last day to pick up your refill with us is August 9th.
Anything not dropped off by the 2nd or picked up by the 9th will need to coordinated with Sarah at Often Wander .
All NEW Often Wander fragrances can be shopped with us until August 15th!

I have three pieces in the “Rainbow” exhibition at Whitney Modern Art Gallery, curated by Marie Cameron. It explores the joy, connection, and wonder of rainbows. 
“Beautifully and Chaotically Perfect 1 & 2” This diptych are abstract portraits of my husband. They explore color, rainbows, and perfect for a rainbow themed exhibition during Pride Month.

“Revealing Myself” explores my adolescence and shedding the layer of shame to embrace my q***rness.

I’m so proud to have my piece, “You Hurt Me, But I Still Love You”, up at the Group Therapy Show at . It’s displayed amongst a beautiful curation of other q***r artists who, like me, have a need to create.

Rosebud Gallery’d Third Annual Group Therapy Show!!! Centering around mental health, addiction, growth, grief, pain, and trauma, and the ways we turn to art to cope, process, and move through these very human emotions. Group Therapy is about navigating what it means to be human, and giving shape to the feelings that are often not talked about in public spaces.

This is a show rooted in love, care, understanding and honesty. A space that gently opens the door to conversations usually kept behind closed doors, and reminds us that vulnerability is not weakness, but a SUPERPOWER, it’s a way to own your narrative, to connect and to grow. This show reminds us that even in our hardest moments, There Is Resilience & We Are Not Alone! 💓💪
