A playroom where kids can be kids and adults can be big kids*

We designed this space to keep the chaos tucked away, the cushions kid-proof, and the overall vibe calm, collected, and spacious enough to tee up.
Because when everything has a place (even the Legos), life just feels a little easier.

This one hits close to home, in more ways than one.

This laundry room was special to design, not just because I got to paint the cabinets a beautiful green (!!), but because I used a wallpaper designed by my high school friend.

I honestly wouldn’t mind doing laundry if I got to pop in and out of this space, what about you?

Apparently this is my first ever “get to know me” post… so, hi! I’m Rachel 👋

Founder of Seldin Design Studios, color enthusiast, renovation obsessive, and firm believer that great design should feel like a little you, a little new.

This past Sunday marked 13 years since I started my business (!), so I figured it was about time I properly introduced myself.

My favorite pattern? Color. (Clearly.)
My style? Bespoke, bold, and never boring.
My process? Collaborative, thoughtful, and always reflecting how you actually live in your space.

I’ve been designing homes in the Bay Area for over a decade, and I still go wild for the first day of demo.
