Join us as we take a floor-by-floor journey through this year’s San Francisco Decorator Showcase, beginning with the home’s main level.

Upon arrival, visitors were led up a stair path surrounded by the landscape design from Studio Green, challenging expectations of the home’s historic setting through a modern landscape of contrasting forms, textures, and tones. Once inside, guests are enveloped by the tented entry created by Kendall Wilkinson Design. Before continuing into the home, visitors are invited to pause and step briefly into a world veiled in shadow and light in Rachel Scheff Design Studio’s enchanted powder and cloak room.

As visitors walk through the coffered hall by Kendall Wilkinson Design, the space encourages reflection on the way historic San Francisco homes were once experienced. The living room unfolds as a richly layered space that beautifully blends Eastern and Western influences through the vision of Sindhu Peruri | Interior Design. Moving through to the dining room by Marsh & Clark Design, visitors encounter a layered interior that pays homage to the craftsmanship and artistry of the past.

From there, guests pass through the pantry by Tineke Triggs she/her, a space designed to be celebrated rather than concealed. Guests then enter the kitchen and family room, also designed by Tineke Triggs she/her, where inspiration from Old England informs warm, inviting spaces meant for gathering, conversation, and the feeling of coming home. Completing the main level is the rear garden by Martinelli Design, offering a space for calm, restraint, and a quiet sense of continuity.

Return for the next chapters of the tour as we make our way to the upper levels of the home.

As the Bay Area’s oldest family-owned natural stone importer, IRG Stone has long been driven by a passion for sourcing extraordinary materials with depth, character, and story. Through decades of relationships with quarries and suppliers around the world, they’ve built a reputation for bringing designers and homeowners some of the most unique and inspiring natural stone available.

This year, we’re reflecting on the beauty found not only in the finished spaces at Showcase, but in the details — the dramatic veining, rich textures, and one-of-a-kind moments that make natural stone so compelling. Swipe through for a look at the journey from quarry to some of our favorite stone moments from past Showcase homes.

A longtime supporter of Showcase both as individuals and as a company, IRG Stone is proud to continue celebrating craftsmanship, design, and the timeless beauty of natural materials.

Recontextualize | A Pause the Sky Walks Into by

The arrival vignette tests your expectation of the home’s context. The landscape allows the participant to experience a sequence of forms, textures, and tones that intentionally contrast with the historic residence. This modern approach transforms the landscape into a powerful design that creates a bold and dynamic sense of place.

Blue translucent resin panels evoke a crystalline, ice-like form, contrasting vividly against the chartreuse grasses. The fountain and vertical screening elements reinforce geometry and imbue the space with tranquility and gentle sound.

Study Abroad by Briana Tunison and Matt Bissinger of

Briana and Matt imagined this space as the private quarters of a 19th-century traveler whose life kept them in motion across continents. Translating tent architecture into permanent form, sloped ceilings and draped textiles recall an enfettered life, with a palette drawn from desert clay, flashes of cadmium and savannah gold recollecting distant landscapes. This is a room that has been assembled by lamplight in a dozen temporary camps and finally allowed to stay.

La Chambre Bleue by Kristine Renee and Deborah Costa of

Floating high on the third floor with sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay, this bedroom and adjoining deck are imagined as a Parisian boutique hotel retreat, part hideaway, part daydream. Inspired by the shifting palette of fog meeting ocean, a panoramic blue toile wraps the space, layered patterns and rich textiles exclude a collected, well-traveled sensibility, while warm red accents glow like the sunset on the water. Just beyond, the rear terrace is designed as a soft escape with drapery panels, an aperitivo bar and views of the bay.

The Slow Spin by

Kimberley created a utility space that is not quite what it seems. Reframing laundry as an elevated ritual within this historic Victorian, the space feels discovered rather than announced. Every detail suggests something beyond utility, inviting you to linger a moment longer than expected. Transforming utility into atmosphere, the design proves that even the most hardworking spaces can hold a sense of intrigue.
