We’ve been working on Ad Astra Gym’s branding & identity and now we’re getting to the fun part — actually painting it. Here’s the first of it in physical form; an a-frame! The shape on top was a fun addition to give it a lil art deco touch. We added acp panels they can attach to let folks know a class is in session. It’s also blank on the other side so they can use a dry erase marker to highlight anything else like events or just a fun message for people walking by. There is definitely more to come for Ad Astra Gym!

Got to paint a fun banner for — with Viet inspired lettering for the Viet owner of this small business! Her partner commissioned me to design & paint this as a birthday gift — how sweet this was and such a treat to do! I haven’t done this color combo yet and I loved how it turned out. Thank you for having me, I’m so excited to see it up and flying high already 💅🏼 Catch Cat Pham at & for all your thrifting needs yall!

Congratulations on their new location here on Fell & Broderick! They had opened 6 months ago but we hadn’t notice since their building had blended into the background — which nothing a fresh coat of red paint and all this lettering can’t fix :) Thank you so much for having us, we don’t get to paint this much exterior wall often so it was a real treat, even in this chilly summer! Come through to their beautiful space and extensive collection of all their boozey (and nonalcoholic) goodies!

We’re currently working on branding & identity for a new gym opening up in the Richmond but had to throw down some big temporary signs while they’re getting their space ready! They’re having classes offsite and some onsite so get in there for sneak peeks. Thank you for having us, can’t wait to get everything all buttoned up so we can get to more painting! (Especially to get rid of the last tenant’s awning for a fresh start!)

Got to get up and out there on a hot one yesterday for University Homes, a new supportive housing project in Berkeley! Can’t go wrong with some gothics we put together. Thanks Andy for having us and Victor for blessing us with the scaffolding setup ✨

A quick (& very cold) one for back in December. They’ve long had a sick Chinese neon sign and blade sign but they didn’t have their name on the façade — so we slapped their logotype right up front. Can’t miss it now! 🙂‍↕️✨

Happy to announce we had the absolute honor & pleasure to design ’s first t-shirt! We definitely put the pressure on ourselves designing for fish sauce royalty and got caught up in several artist blocks — so thank you for your patience while we found our groove! It was an excuse to introduce another version of Cô Mía, our infamous “sugar cane lady” from Việt Nam. (We’ve mentioned her a million times but look her up if you are not familiar!) In this case, she is Cô Mắm 🐟✨

We ultimately love where we ended up and can’t wait to see people reppin’ these tees. They couldn’t decide what colorway so y’all lucked out with them choosing both! They will be launching em at .art.exhibition tomorrow in San Jose, folks can get first dibs then! Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled for when they make em available online for purchase next week 👀

Shout out to for their screen printing expertise and letting us bother them in their space! And big thanks again for having us. What a treat it was to work with a such a fun family business. Sorry, we all Phamily now 🙂‍↕️❤️
