Custom wallpaper at Jack's. This paper was special, it had to honor the room it was made for and carry all the historical meaning the space holds.
There are laurel wreaths that echo the existing gold plaster molding in the ceiling, jack rabbits reminding us that nature was here before the building was, and a shield borrowed from the Friday Morning Women's Club of LA.

Meet me, Kellie Menendez of Half Full wallpaper. I enjoy creating our hand-painted, hand-drawn patterns inspired by botanical illustration, vintage chinoiserie, and the natural world around us. Independent, woman-owned design studio.

Magnolias in bloom, warblers passing through. This pattern (Analisse) started with one bird, then others joined in quietly, the way warblers do. As if I had sent some sort of an invitation asking them to join until the tree was full, leaving enough room for the magnolias to open. A tree in full bloom.

Sometimes you get to do something extraordinary, to help create a pathway for others in a space historically frequented and defined by some of the greatest creative minds. Men like Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway, Alfred Hitchcock, and Cary Grant.

This time, Jack’s is open to those who want to gather and build new memories inside a storied legacy.

I had the honor of contributing to that evolution by creating three custom patterns. One inspired by the women who helped open the door. One honoring Jack’s namesake. And a mural modeled after the layered beauty of Golden Gate Park in the city I have lived in and loved for three decades.

Thank you for inviting me into this journey, . Thank you for introducing me.
And thank you for capturing the spirit of it so beautifully, .

I am deeply grateful to have been part of this movement.
