The downstairs media and game room at Broken Arrow Chalet was designed to be the kind of space everyone naturally gathers in after a long day on the slopes, relaxed, cozy, and just a little playful.

We wrapped the room in deep charcoal built-ins to create warmth and contrast, then layered in soft textures, natural wood tones, and a full wall of collected books that make the space feel lived in from day one.

From movie nights on the oversized sectional to endless shuffleboard tournaments with the kids, every detail here was designed around family time and creating memories together.

One of our favorite things about this project was transforming a dated, builder-grade ski house into a home that feels stylish, elevated, and deeply personal to the family who lives here. ✨

What makes a California home feel like California?

It’s more than a location, it’s a way of living.

The most quintessential California homes blur the line between indoors and out, embracing natural light, organic materials, and a connection to the landscape that feels effortless.

For Marin Tranquility, we leaned into these principles through expansive views, warm natural textures, collected furnishings, and spaces designed to feel open, relaxed, and deeply rooted in their surroundings. 🫶

From sunlit gathering spaces to thoughtfully layered materials, every design decision was made to foster a sense of ease and connection.

The best California interiors don’t just frame the landscape, they make it part of everyday life.

What defines California living to you?

At Harvest Moon Ranch, we wanted every room to feel connected to the landscape beyond its windows.

Framed by mountain views, elemental materials, and a palette of warm neutrals, this home became an exercise in balance, softening stone, wood, and metal with sculptural forms, layered textures, and spaces designed for slowing down.

One of our favorite parts of the process was creating interiors that feel refined yet deeply comfortable; elegant enough to make a statement, but inviting enough to put your feet up and stay awhile.

A home that feels rooted in its surroundings, while still feeling entirely personal. ✨

Indoor-outdoor living was the heartbeat of this Beverly Hills Bachelor Pad project.

We wanted the living room to feel equal parts sophisticated, relaxed, and a little sexy, where the boundaries between the inside lounge and the pool terrace almost disappear.

The sculptural curved sofa became the anchor of the space, layered against moody stone walls, grey stained wood millwork, and soft textured pieces that invite you to sink in and stay awhile with your favorite cocktail.

For this home, we blended the client’s love for mid-century architecture, street art, circular shapes, and bold forms into a space that feels effortlessly cool but still deeply livable. ✨

Sunlight, soft textures, and a dining space designed for conversations that last a little longer ✨

For the dining room at Light-Filled Marin Home, we blended timeless architecture with modern layers to create a space that feels elegant yet completely inviting.

The sculptural chandelier, curved dining chairs, and antique burl wood table create layers, while the metallic clad sideboard and collected art pieces add just the right amount of drama.

One of our favorite parts of this project was balancing the home’s early 1900s character and the client’s own antique pieces with a fresh contemporary approach to entertaining and everyday living, making the entire space feel bright, personal, and effortlessly elevated 🤍

A bedroom should never feel one-dimensional ✨

For this teen boy’s room, we wanted to create a room that could seamlessly shift between focus, rest, and everyday living.

The desk and suspended shelving were designed to feel architectural rather than bulky, giving the room storage, display, and functionality without compromising on openness.

From curated sneaker displays and sports memorabilia to record storage, layered textures and warm metallic accents, every detail was chosen to reflect personality while still feeling elevated and refined.

We love designing spaces that work hard without looking over-designed, where productivity meets comfort, and where a bedroom can effortlessly become a study zone, creative corner, and personal retreat all at once 🤍

In the Little Owl A-Frame, every inch had to work harder, and more beautifully.

We approached the kitchen as a study in restraint and intention…a “Nordic bento box” of sorts, where each element is thoughtfully placed, layered, and quietly purposeful.

Bleached maple wall cladding and cabinetry keeps the space light and open, while the terrazzo surfaces introduce just enough rhythm and play.

Open shelving was designed not just for function, but for storytelling, every object curated, every line clean, every moment considered. In a compact footprint, the goal wasn’t to add more…it was to make everything feel like enough.

Because when space is limited, design becomes sharper, smarter, and a little more magical.

A workspace should feel as considered as the rest of the home, never an afterthought.

For us, designing a working table is about balance…where clean lines meet quiet texture, and every detail earns its place. The wood tones ground the space, the shelving tells a story, and the desk becomes more than functional, it becomes a moment you actually want to sit in.

We always say: the best desks don’t just hold your work, they shape how you feel while doing it.

Would you sit here with your morning coffee or your late-night ideas?

Day 2 in NYC and I’m completely inspired.

Wandering through Afternoon Light Design Fair felt like stepping into a world where every texture, curve, and material tells a story.

From sculptural marble pieces to dreamy textiles and immersive color drenched spaces. Grateful to explore, observe, and bring back fresh inspiration for HSH Interiors. ✨

Loved wandering through ICFF + NYCxDESIGN 2026, soaking in so much creativity, thoughtful interior design, and fresh perspectives on how spaces can shape the way we live and feel ✨

One of my favorite parts was seeing the incredible work and imagination coming out of the design schools, so inspiring to see the next generation pushing boundaries in such unique ways.

Design fairs always remind me why I fell in love with interiors in the first place, it’s all about storytelling, emotion, and creating spaces that truly feel alive.

Until next time, New York 🤍
