We believe that living in a beautifully designed home that reflects your personal style and how you live shouldn't also cost you a lot of money. And yet, as a rule of thumb, it's still fairly cost-prohibitive for most of us to work directly with an interior designer. What motivated Lissette to start La Finca was what she continuously heard from friends and family: "I would love to hire an interior
designer but I just don't have that kind of budget". We can do this because we specialize in "high/low" design. That means that we know how to stretch our client's budget without sacrificing quality or style. Lissette learned the art of high/low design first-hand on the ground-up construction of her own home. When the two-year project began, she was bombarded with making decisions that on the surface seemed to offer only two choices: 1) Sacrifice the design you want, or 2) Pay more. What she taught herself, however, was how to get both the style and quality she wanted while adhering to her budget. Prior to her own home project, Lissette had worked in marketing and sales for companies like Facebook and Univision. After the design, build and furnishing of her own home, Lissette realized what she really wanted to do was take her business know-how and the high/low design tricks she's learned and apply them to designing homes for others. La Finca's goal is to design spaces that not only make our clients feel as good as their homes look, but that leave enough in the budget to actually enjoy living there as well.
