Today, we are shifting from the pockets to the actual architecture of the folio base. I’m breaking down how to connect your panels flawlessly, why I love using a wrap-around method for the top flaps, and how to add a hidden magnetic closure for that satisfying premium "snap!" 🧲

Plus, I'm sharing a little studio secret: why I prefer to install all my interactive mats and pockets before joining the folio halves together (hint: it's a total game-changer if you have limited desk space! 📐).

💡 CRAFTING TIP: We are mounting our completed waterfalls today! Because these assemblies carry some weight, I highly recommend using a heavy 110 lb (300 gsm) cardstock for your inner panels to give your folio a rigid, professional backbone.

We will tackle the exact order of operations for the mats, handle how paper thickness affects your cuts, and assemble all 12 pockets using our Waterfall Guide.

✨ REVEAL: The Slow Life Compendium 📖✨

The commission is complete! What started as a functional "Pockets Book" has evolved into The Slow Life Compendium. This book is designed to be a curated guide for rest, filled with suggestions for recipes, books, and adventures for a special principal during her recovery.

In this flip-through, you’ll see the final decoration layers using my Springtime and Whispers of Wildflowers collections. I’ve also added a custom-designed "Slow Life" word sheet with small ¼” labels to add storytelling without distracting from the botanical art.
