Studio G is proud to share a closer look at the interiors of the new headquarters for the San Jose Municipal Water System — a project that brings five outdated facilities together into one cohesive, modern workplace. Inside the two-story office building, the design emphasizes clarity, comfort, and connection. Light-filled workspaces support daily operations, while flexible training and community rooms provide space for public outreach and staff development. Natural materials and warm finishes echo the building’s barn-inspired architecture, creating a welcoming civic environment that feels both grounded and contemporary. Carefully planned circulation and open collaboration areas encourage interaction across departments, and direct connections to outdoor patios extend gathering spaces into the landscape near Los Lagos Golf Course. The project achieved LEED Gold certification, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainability and long-term civic investment.

Studio G Architects designed the new headquarters for the San Jose Municipal Water System, consolidating five outdated facilities into one modern, unified campus. The project includes a two-story office building and adjacent storage facility, thoughtfully integrated into a residential setting near Coyote Creek Golf Course. Inspired by a contemporary interpretation of rural barn forms, the design balances warmth, clarity, and function. Light-filled workspaces, community training rooms, and outdoor patios support collaboration and public engagement. The project achieved LEED Gold certification, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability and civic stewardship.

Kicking off the new year by doing what we do best: designing with intention and connection.

We created our own custom Connect 4 as a gift for our clients and team because great design and great things ahead always start with connection.

Here’s to better ideas, stronger partnerships, and meaningful spaces in the year ahead!
