My First Sliding Table Saw

I bought this Dewalt slider used..found it on craigslist. These saws are discontinued. And I loved it causecI am a Dewalt guy at heart. I bought it to help speed up getting square cuts when breaking down plywood cause at the time it was all I could afford and didnt really have the space for a full size slider. Before this saw I was using a track saw on my workbench to get square cuts. I made it into an MFT style table with dog holes using the Mark II Parf Guide System. That allowed me to use bench dogs and special clips that the track mounted to and get square cuts. I would square one end up and then finish the part to final size on the Delta UniSaw with the Incra LS Positioner Fence which is extremely accurate. Things are a lot different nowadsys..but this is what my workflow looked like in my first shop which was 1000 sq/ft. I have since sold that Dewalt saw while moving shops and did not have the room or need for it anymore..anyways..I wish I kept it because its a cool collectors item. There are still many of them floating around out there. Maybe Ill find another one some day and pick one back up.

Hi, my name is AJ. I like to build stuff.

This photo takes me back to our first cabinet shop. That framing in the background? Yea..that was all me ๐Ÿ”จ

After spending close to 20 years working in cabinet shops (a few of those years framing) I finally decided to bet on myself and build something of my own.

That orange Ridgid table saw wasn't just a toolโ€”it was the foundation of a dream.

In the beginning, that's what I had: a small space, a lot of determination, and a willingness to work whatever hours it took to keep moving forward.

One project at a time.
One customer at a time.
One lesson at a time.

There were plenty of long days, setbacks, and moments when the future wasn't clear. But there was also growth, opportunity, and the satisfaction that comes from building something with your own two hands.

Not just cabinets: but a business, a reputation, and a life centered around craftsmanship.

Looking at this photo reminds me that every successful shop starts somewhere. No fancy equipment. No shortcuts. Just hard work, persistence, and a commitment to getting a little better every day.

It's been a long journey & one hell of a ride...but, foot on the gas..we're just getting started. ๐Ÿ™
