Home office for mask making. Before: I hadn't even cleaned the sewing machine yet which made me realize I should clean it more often. You might notice the pen marks on the side... After: Machine significantly cleaner. Room? Not so much. These are tough times but we make it work.

I can make masks. Pictured are the fun colorful ones. As you can see I can make different sizes. I have plenty of cord style brown elastic if you want ones that go around the ears. I recommend a shoelace or other cord for the full loop type, but I'll make whatever you want. I can make them with a pocket for an extra filter and/or a wire at the nose for those who wear glasses so your breath won't fog them. If you send me a picture of your face I can better judge the exact curvature needed to make it more comfortable.

As soon as I can organize it all I will take pictures of *all* the fabrics I have and post it on my website for easy purchase. Those here at the page get first pick and can pay on a sliding scale basis. I have plenty of all that is pictured here with the exception of the top right pink cats. That one was made out of my child's old clothes.

It's recommended you have 3 masks. One to wear, one to wash, one as backup. Speaking of washing. Some have mentioned bleach or hydrogen peroxide. I think that's overkill. Both will ruin the fun colors and I'm all for having as much fun with this as possible. A 45 minute tumble in a washing machine with soap and seems sufficient for a mask that you aren't sharing.

Disclaimers: These type of masks help *your* germs from getting on others by catching your fluids from getting out in the air and if you touch your face your hands won't directly touch a mucus membrane. This decreases transmission by 50%. They DO NOT protect you from breathing in the virus that's already in the air. They are not sealed and the fabric is not made for that. If you are high risk, stay safe at home, send someone else out for you.

Each mask will be made with prewashed fabric on a sanitized machine and washed again after it's made.

COVID-19 UPDATE
The city of San Rafael has ordered non-essential businesses to close their doors until April 7th.
However I have a Remote Design option for those who want to get something designed and I can arrange all pickups to be contact-less. I will still be in the store making frames that were dropped off earlier I will just leave the door closed unless a contact-less pickup has been arranged.

PG&E is working on our block so we have no power for an unspecified length of time. We are still open for pickup. You are also welcome to drop off although the lighting isn't nearly as good as it should be. If this continues into lunch time, we will close for the rest of the day. California love is thicker than smoke. Be well.

My last display with three different types of glazing sold so I had to make another one. I got creative. I painted the mat with "stars" (which you can barely see in the photo) because I thought it better illustrated the clarity differences in glazing. I also hung it as a diamond to attract attention and help accent the "directionlessness" of outer space.
