Owning a small business has taught me lessons that go far beyond entrepreneurship.

I learned how to make decisions when there wasn’t always a clear answer. How to listen to what people actually need instead of assuming I know. How important relationships are. And that your reputation is built just as much by what happens after the sale as what happens before it.

Those lessons have shaped the way I approach my everyday life in general.

Some experiences don’t just teach you how to do something and they change the way you show up everywhere else. 🖤

Officially DONE. 🎓🖤

Today I turned in my final paper and come tomorrow, I will have officially finished my degree.

No ceremony. No stage. Just the end of a degree I completed in the middle of real life and it only took 15 years 😂. All done while growing a successful career, raising a family, running a business, closing that business, prioritizing my health and fitness, and still finding a way to keep showing up for myself.

I’m proud of the degree, but I’m even more proud of everything it took to finish it.

In the same month, I closed one of the biggest chapters of my life and finished another. I don’t know exactly what comes next yet. I just know I’m ready for it.

There’s something special about closing one chapter while standing at the beginning of another. 🖤

Raised Rad has been such a huge part of my life, and I’m incredibly thankful for every single person who has supported this brand, shopped with us, shared our posts, told a friend, showed up to events, or simply cheered us on along the way. What started as an idea became so much more, and I’ll always be grateful for everything this chapter taught me, about business, creativity, resilience, and myself.

But as one chapter comes to an end, another one is just getting started.

At the end of this month, I’ll officially be graduating, and I’m genuinely excited to see where this next season takes me in the world of business. I’ve learned so much through all of the experiences that came with owning a business and the corporate world and I know I’m not done building yet.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll start to see this Instagram page transition into something new. I’m excited to bring you along for whatever comes next.
