Well , I didn't get this piece at the antique store, the thrift store, the goodwill bins, marketplace or even a garage sale. This is my Daddy's tractor. A very special vintage/antique tractor that was built between 1939-1952.One of my best memories is when I was 8 or 9 years old and my dad got this tractor and he took it apart and had our entire garage floor full of parts. He then primed and painted each piece and put it back together. It has been going and working for years. I'm now 52 years old and I asked my daddy if I could have it one day a few years ago. Well, that day came and my daddy said he was ready for me to finally take it home! My husband Eric Haling loaded it up and its home with me.β€οΈ Below is a pic of the tractor my daddy and a painting my Aunt Laura painted of him with it. Its definitely priceless. NOT FOR SALE!
BELOW is the story from my dad about his dad getting the tractor!!
πMy Dad brought that tractor used. I think in the late forties. We raise cotton with it. We plowed the ground, planted the cotton seeds, and cultivated the cotton rows to control the weeds. We built the pond that is on the folks property with it. I used the tractor the most. I remember coming home from school and working on building the dam to the pond. After I left home and they quit raising cotton I asked Dad if I could have it and he gave it to me. I restored it. Also I did buy a salvaged tractor to used to rebuild it. When we built our house I used it to landscape around the house.
