Sometimes you just need to go outside and look at something pretty even if your baby needs a nap. And yes, flowers absolutely count. 😉

I just can't with her little hand holding onto my side 😍

That’s a big part of why I love growing them. A reason to step outside, slow down, and make something beautiful with your own two hands.

My hope for Wilkinson Willows is that you feel a little of that peace, too. Time with your people, a little fresh air, and flowers to bring some of that feeling home. ❤️

Why Flowers and Time Outside Matter to Me

I believe flowers and time outside are good for the heart, soul and mind because I have seen it work in my own life. 🌿

There was a season when I was carrying a lot of heartache. I was waiting and wondering why my dream of having a baby girl was not happening as quickly as I hoped it would.

The noise in my mind felt constant, and nowhere inside my house seemed to quiet it.

But outside did.

Sitting beneath the open sky, listening to the birds, the breeze and all the little sounds of nature helped calm my thoughts. It gave my mind somewhere soft to land.

And it was during one of those quiet moments outside that I had the idea to grow flowers.

I had never grown a single flower before, but I had always grown vegetables. I remember thinking, Well, if I can grow veggies, surely I can grow flowers.

So I did. 🌸

I also needed something that would challenge my body and keep me moving. Growing flowers gave me both—the peace of being outside and meaningful work that made me feel strong.

As I settled into the work, I naturally began stretching between rows. After bending over for what felt like forever, you might find me doing downward dog or a warrior pose right there in the field. Not exactly a fancy yoga studio, but the flowers never judged me. 😉

That is why the flower subscriptions and Sunset Yoga mean so much to me.

They are not just flowers or an evening class. They are invitations to slow down, breathe deeply, move your body and reconnect with the part of yourself that can get lost in the noise.

Sometimes healing begins with something as simple as stepping outside. 🌅🌸

Each week, I walk the rows and choose whatever is blooming at its absolute best. The tallest snapdragons, the prettiest dahlias, the rudbeckias showing off, the airy little fillers, the unexpected colors that somehow look perfect together.

I do not make the same bouquet over and over. I let the field lead the way.

That means every week feels different. Different colors, different shapes, different textures—and always something fresh and beautiful from what is growing right here at Wilkinson Willows.

One of my favorite things about the flower subscription is that no two weeks are ever the same. 🌸

Each week, I walk through the field and choose what is blooming at its very best. Then I create something completely unique from those flowers.

Some weeks you may receive a lush arrangement already designed in a vase. Other weeks, it may be a beautiful wrapped bouquet ready for you to arrange at home.

The colors, shape, size and style will change from week to week—and that is part of the fun.

You may also find a little extra tucked in, like a petite bouquet for your bathroom or bedside table, flower seeds from the farm or another small surprise. ✨

Our last evening together was sooooo peaceful—the cooler air, the birds singing, the breeze moving through the trees and the sun setting behind the mountains.

It felt like the whole world slowed down for a little while.

🌸Summer Flower Subscriptions Are Here!🌸

Our next 8-week flower subscription begins the week of August 5th, right when the flower field is bursting at the seams with some of the very best blooms of the season.

If you missed the spring subscription, you are definitely going to want to grab this one.

Dahlias, zinnias, snapdragons, amaranth, rudbeckia and so many other summer beauties are coming into their full glory—and I get to gather them into something completely different for you each week.

Some weeks you may receive a lush, whimsical arrangement. Other weeks, a beautiful wrapped bouquet ready for your favorite vase. Every bouquet will have its own shape, size, colors and personality, depending on what is looking especially magical in the field that week.

And there is usually a little something extra tucked in, too—a petite bouquet for your bathroom or guest room, seeds gathered from the flower field or another small surprise. 💐

You do not need a birthday, anniversary or special occasion to bring flowers into your home.

Consider this an investment in your own joy and mental health.

There is something so grounding about bringing nature inside, watching a bouquet open throughout the week and having fresh flowers waiting for you on the kitchen counter.

🌅 Last night (Wednesday night) was everything I hoped it would be... and more. 🌸

The weather couldn't have been more perfect.

It was cooler than the night before, a gentle breeze danced through the aspen tree beside us, and the birds sang throughout the entire yoga session. It honestly felt like nature was joining in.

Eight wonderful people came to share the evening with us, and watching everyone slow down, breathe deeply, and simply enjoy being present in such a beautiful place filled my heart.

The best part? As we were wrapping up, several people asked, "When's the next one?"and even suggested we make it a weekly event! 🥹💛

That tells me everything I need to know.

To everyone who came, thank you for spending your evening with us. And a huge thank you to Annie for leading such a peaceful class and generously donating all of the yoga proceeds to Friendship Station's respite program for adults with dementia. What a beautiful way to give back to our community.

If you missed this one, don't worry… we're definitely doing it again. And judging by last night, it might just become a regular summer tradition. 🌸✨
