Today was wet. Today was cold. Our tent leaked and we had to scramble to protect the art pieces. For over half the time, my art pieces were displayed in bubble wrap! I forgot I was missing a table, so we had to scale down our booth at the last minute. We were in a new location for PeakFest this year, so the layout and the parking were all new for the customers (and vendors) to navigate. It was not the outcome we hoped for, but all things considered, I am pretty darn proud of how we ended the day! I had several returning customers, a few custom orders, and new customers who made several purchases. Many thanks to the volunteers with Apex PeakFest who are always there to help out and offer assistance with loading and unloading. Thanks to the organizers who make it all happen and make it look easy (I know it's not). Thank you to the Apex police department for helping with the traffic and making sure everyone stayed safe. And most of all, thank you to my amazing, devoted, hard-working partner-in-life, Jerry Leeman, without whom I could not be as successful with this business as I am. Next up for us: Sanford Farmers Market, Saturday, May 9th!
