The cleaning and sanitizing of these amber bottles is just one step on my checklist as I prepare for the Lavender Oaks Farm candle workshops. ✨

I wanted to try a little experiment… 🕯️

I took a 4 oz candle insert and placed it into a 5.5-inch tall with a diameter of 2.75 inches, recycled glass candle container. After lighting it and letting it burn, I came back to find that it had self-extinguished.

The candle insert had tunneled about 1.5 inches deep, and as you can see, the insert doesn’t fully meet the edges of the container — because it wasn’t designed for this specific vessel.

The inserts I create are carefully made and thoroughly tested for the containers they are intended for. Candle performance depends on many factors, and proper vessel pairing is one of the most important.

While you are absolutely welcome to use your own containers, I can’t guarantee you’ll get the full, proper burn experience from the insert/candle when used outside of its tested vessel. 🤍

Hey y’all! I know I know… It’s been a looooongggg time! But the time is coming soon! A lot has happened behind the scenes with family and business so it’s held me up just a little 🤏! The table will look different May 15th at the market so I hope you will come on out and check out the new layout! 😉 You can always reach out for smell goods anytime either here or online if you can’t wait till a market. This will be the only one till September due to the heat 🫠 which the soy wax does not do well in. Anyways… 😂 Hope you see you all in 2 weeks!!! 🎉

A little quiet on the market front… but behind the scenes, has been anything but still ✨

These past weeks have been filled with candle workshops, laughter, pouring, and connecting with this incredible community in a more hands-on way—and loved every second of it.

Now I’m gearing up, restocking, and getting ready to hit the markets again in April 🌿

Just a small sneak of a custom order for . Each hand poured jar takes a near week to complete in order to pour wax into. They have to dry completely, be properly sealed and only then can be poured into. It’s a process that takes time and patience but it’s what makes The Wandering Texan stand out. It makes the candle vessels unique 🧡. Orders may take a little longer due to the jars… but I promise they are worth it.

What an incredible Valentine’s Day candle workshop ! The room was filled with good smells, clinking glasses, and the warm glow of creativity. From couples blending signature scents together to friends crafting their own custom fragrances, every candle told a little story.

There’s something special about slowing down, pouring intention into wax, choosing notes that feel like you, and walking away with a candle that holds a memory.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, showed love, and made the afternoon unforgettable. Your support means the world, and watching this community gather around creativity is why we do what we do.
