โจ Ingredients:
For the Meat Sauce:
1 lb ground beef ๐
1 small onion (diced) ๐ง
3 cloves garlic (minced) ๐ง
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes ๐
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce ๐
2 tbsp tomato paste ๐
1 tsp Italian seasoning ๐ฟ
1/2 tsp dried oregano ๐ฟ
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional) ๐ถ๏ธ
Salt and pepper to taste ๐ง
For the Cheese Mixture:
1 cup ricotta cheese ๐ง
1 egg ๐ฅ
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese ๐ง
1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped) ๐ฟ
Other Ingredients:
12 lasagna noodles (cooked according to package instructions) ๐
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese ๐ง
1 tbsp olive oil ๐ซ

1. Make the Meat Sauce ๐

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add diced onions and garlic, cooking until soft.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
2. Prepare the Cheese Mixture ๐ง
In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Stir until smooth.
3. Assemble the Lasagna ๐
Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce.
Layer 3-4 lasagna noodles on top.
Spread a layer of ricotta mixture, followed by meat sauce, and sprinkle some mozzarella.
Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with meat sauce and a generous layer of mozzarella cheese.
4. Bake to Perfection ๐ฅ
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
5. Serve & Enjoy ๐คค
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Garnish with extra parsley and serve warm!
