For the powder room at our Via Vistosa project in Santa Barbara, we knew we wanted something special that would reward the intimacy of the space and represent our full color scheme.
We chose Bird & Pomegranate in Blue/Sage, paired with antique mirror panels and an oak vanity.
Morris & Co. patterns have been in continuous production for over 160 years for good reason: the colorways are endlessly livable, the proportions are simply correct, and they work in almost any context, from a renovated Victorian to a California bungalow.
The dark, painterly botanical richness of this pattern played beautifully against those warm, reflective surfaces. It’s a pattern that rewards close looking... the more time you spend in the room, the more you notice. It was exactly right for this space.
