✨ Kicking off a few new projects in Palo Alto & Los Altos!

One thing I always encourage clients to think about early: window treatments shouldn’t be an afterthought—especially when motorization is involved.

For new construction and major remodels, I often get involved during the rough-in stage, before the drywall closes up.

At this stage, we can already plan:
• Inside mount vs. outside mount
• Shade or drapery placement
• Motor and power requirements
• The exact location where low-voltage wires or power should exit

Getting these details right early means the wiring can be placed exactly where it needs to be and hidden cleanly once the drywall goes up.

Otherwise, something as simple as changing from an inside mount to an outside mount later can mean relocating wires, opening or patching drywall, and adding unnecessary time and labor.

A little planning early in construction can make a huge difference in how clean and seamless the finished window treatments look. 🤍

✨ Another installation complete! ✨

Just finished installing custom roller shades and drapery throughout this beautiful home in Hillsborough.

One of my favorite parts of this project was seeing the homeowner’s fabric selections come to life. She chose different roller shade fabrics for each room, including some fun, patterned designs. I’ll admit, when we first looked at the samples, I was a little hesitant about whether some of the patterns might feel too busy.

But once everything was installed — I absolutely loved the result! 🤍

The patterns work so well with the personality of each room, especially alongside all the interesting and adorable lanterns and décor pieces she has collected from different stores, including World Market. Everything feels playful, warm, and uniquely hers.

And beyond the look, I’m really happy with the quality of these roller shades. The operation is incredibly smooth, and they feel just as good to use as they look.

Sometimes a fabric that feels bold on a small sample can look completely different once it’s installed in the space. This project was such a great reminder to trust the homeowner’s vision and let a little personality shine through. ✨

✨ L-Shaped Motorized Drapery Tracks — Installed & Tested!

Just completed the installation and testing of these custom L-shaped motorized drapery tracks for our client in Los Altos — and everything is running beautifully! 🙌

The movement is super smooth and whisper-quiet, even around the corner of the L-shaped track.

Our client can now easily open and close the drapes using a remote control or directly from her phone 📱 — and she can even program them to automatically open or close at certain times of the day.

Smart, quiet, and effortless. Exactly how motorized drapery should feel. ✨

Installing a full-home drapery track system for our Los Altos client today ✨

She selected a combination of manual and motorized tracks throughout the home, depending on the needs of each room.

Our tracks feature nano-coated gliding technology, allowing the carriers to move incredibly smoothly and quietly — even with larger drapery panels.

For the motorized rooms, the smart track system makes everyday use effortless. Curtains can be controlled by remote, phone, or integrated into a compatible smart-home system for convenient voice and automated control.

20+ windows, a full remodel, and a future Airbnb project in beautiful San Benito County! 🏡

I visited this property today to discuss window treatments for the entire home. Since the owner plans to turn it into an Airbnb, we focused on solutions that are stylish, functional, durable, and easy for guests to use.

We selected roller shades for most of the windows because of their clean, modern look and excellent value. Nearly all of the shades will be motorized, adding convenience and a smart-home feel throughout the house.

For a few bedrooms, we chose fabric draperies to create a warmer and more inviting atmosphere.

Excited to see this renovation come together and help bring the owner’s vision to life!
