One of my favorite restaurants to go to as a kid growing up in San Francisco was La Rondalla on Valencia street. Why? Well Mexican food is the best, but also it was decked out in Christmas lights and traditional, mid-century ornaments year round. As one former customer wrote, “the decor was like sitting inside a piñata at Christmas in a wedding party.” When I moved to New York, imagine my delight when I found numerous Indian restaurants with the same Christmas year-round aesthetic. This season, at the shop, we’ve brought in a collection of mid-century inspired ornaments that celebrate the nostalgia of the holidays. Looking at our tree, I fondly remember the magic all these restaurants created and hope you can bring a little magic back to your home (year-round if you like).
