Another "Before"and "After" example of giving a refresh and update to a quality vintage piece of furniture. This solid wood, very well made credenza (probably from 1960's?) is refinished with Ivory lacquered cabinet door fronts and antiqued gold detailing to the raised moulding detail. The cabinet itself was stained in a darker wood tone, to provide contrast. Now it's a one-of-a-kind piece and a new family heirloom!

Ceilings (aka the 5th wall), offer another opportunity to introduce a design element that can further enhance the space (i.e. wallpaper, hand painting, etc.). Don't always default to plain white...there are so many more interesting options to consider!

Found: A Diamond in the (very) Rough vintage chair, that needed some TLC. Nothing like a quality reupholstery & restoration job to bring it back to life and create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece!

What a nice surprise to be included in this article from parade.com about warm, Fall color palettes being used in various rooms! Photo #5 is a Living Room from a project completed over a decade ago now (time flies!). It was such a cozy, inviting room - the earth tones from the slate tile and stacked stone material provided the inspiration for the colors used throughout.

Make spaces cozy and comfortable.
