Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the opening with us. It was wonderful to bring these seven artists from Orcas Art Barn together at The Shala and share a little of the island, its landscape, and the creativity that comes from being surrounded by nature. We all loved it!!
:)!

Made by hand, shaped by place.
Working across paint, ceramics, sculpture, wood, metal, stone, and woven willow, seven artists from Orcas Island bring the spirit of the island to Santa Monica. Each piece carries a sense of the landscape, natural materials, and the slower, more intentional way of making that defines life on Orcas.

Hope to see you at our opening reception to experience the work in person...
