I went to LACMA to look at the art and left thinking about the walls…

Deep burgundy, ultramarine blue, almost black—color moving through the galleries with the journey of the sun. It made me think about how much the color around something can change the way we see it. And, of course, I came back to the showroom wanting to paint everything.
