In 1981 I was hired to design a new house on a vacant lot on De Pauw Street, Pacific Palisades. The original owner wanted a colonial style house so I came up with a traditional design. For 43 years the house was occupied and remodeled a couple times to add the front porch, master suite and to modernize the kitchen and baths. It was lost in the January wildfire so the owners had me recreate the design of the original house with a few tweaks and with the help of an AI program I was able to render the house with incredible detail. The house is now well under construction.

Another design I created 20 something years ago at 1338 Amalfi Drive in the Pacific Palisades. The family owned a small 1-story ranch style house here and wanted to modernize and resize it.
For this design I used the Palladian style that has an Italian origin.

A design of mine in Pacific Palisades that survived the fire. Located at 1328 Amalfi Drive. The property was owned by a woman who inherited it from her grandmother and wanted a new house to raise her family. I designed this over 20 years ago and love how well it came out.

New house I designed in 2017, these photos are 2023. House photos are much better after the landscape grows in around the new building. This is 12111 Travis Street in Brentwood, N. of Sunset Blvd. The clients wanted a contemporary French country style.

632 Shell Avenue in Venice. New house I designed to match the original Venice craftsman style. Its actually 3 stories with a large roof deck complete with spa and views.

Looking for a volunteer project I could donate my services to, I found a place at Habitat For Humanity. Their greatest project in Los Angeles was the 1995 Jimmy Carter Work Project. Another architect and myself designed 5 styles of houses and I produced all the plans. Volunteers built 50 houses on an abandoned railroad right of way in Watts. The houses were sold to selected families at cost and Habitat financed them too. If the owners decide to sell, the property goes back to Habitat at a reasonable price. The houses are in good shape and a great improvement to the neighborhood.

Recently finished project for a good friend and builder. We converted his outdated ranch style house into a contemporary Prairie style. These photos are some test shots I took with my new camera. The family room / kitchen area that I layed out was finely detailed by Caren Rideau at Kitchen Design Group and the client's. That fireplace is the biggest gas fireplace possible, that meets California's strict air quality regulations.
