The older I get, the more I realise it’s not the finished room that brings me happiness... it’s the pottering about.
Fluffing the bedding, tucking a basket into a forgotten corner, moving a favorite bowl onto a pedestal, adding little touches that make our cottage feel loved and lived in.
Home isn’t created in a day. It’s gathered slowly, one cosy detail at a time, and truthfully, that’s my favorite part.
So today I’m not posting the finished result... I’m posting the happy little moments of creating it.
