Meteor Havok is officially out of early release stage!

This morning I launched my first full game in 40 years on Steam. It is an asteroids clone with features that I wanted to learn in game making.

You control your ship through various levels destroying everything in your path. The game currently has multiple keyboard control options, works with an X-Box style gamepad, and even includes an option for Autofire for those of your that don't like to press the fire button all the time.

The game is 100% free on Steam. Check it out and let me know what you think of it. And send along any bugs that you find in it. I still want to make it a little better as I start on Meteor Havok 2! and apply everything I learned to make the game 'better' and include more features.

Version 1.3 of my game is now available on Steam.

I've added some gameplay improvements and bug fixes.

The process has been fun. I'm actually enjoying sitting at the computer again which is cool. Re-learning somewhat real programming vs the joy that is CSS and web dev has actually been somewhat relaxing. Even when trying to sort out the syntax for things I didn't even know existed a month ago.

The full game release will happen once I sort out alternate game controls to add some options for players and add some accessibility features to the game like auto-fire.

I just finished building the test rod for a spiral guide layout. Spiral guides wrap around the rod so that a casting reel on top ends with the guide tip under the rod like you have in a spinning rod.

I made this using an MHX 7' 3" casting rod, Winn split grips, a Fuji reel seat (with carbon fiber inserts), LZR guides, and finished the copper rod with a copper marble finish.

Now all I need to do is get out and fish with it.

Fresh off the workbench, a medium sized chaos cutting board. It's 14x18x1.5 and made from 5 different kinds of wood. Cherry, Hard Maple, Padauk, Purple Heart, and Walnut.

I really like how it turned out, I just need to get a lot better at taking photos of my finished work.

It's off to its new home and on to the next project.

I just finished another batch of Trinity Crosses. They are made from Walnut, Maple, and Cherry and they look great on any wall.

Details: 18" tall - 12" wide - 1.5" thick. They have a keyhole for hanging them easily and a hidden compartment that is perfect for storing your favorite verses or anything else you would like to keep with your cross.

Unfortunately, this entire run is already sold out. this is great for me, not so great if you would like to have one for yourself or as a gift. But, if you are interested in having one (or more) send me a DM and I'll make sure that you are 1st in line for the next group that I make after the first of the year. Cost: $40 each with free shipping.

I just finished this white, 5wt fly rod. The rod is wrapped in red silk and has my first attempt at doing gold leaf dragon scales. I love the way it turned out and will be doing more dragon scales.

I also made a walnut box for it so it can be stored and carried safely. Like everything else, I learned a lot on this build, and I wish I had the time to do a little more to it, but overall I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Here is the latest batch of cheese slicers off of the workbench. This batch is made from Maple, Bloodwood, and Purpleheart.

I have three left from this batch that are for sale. They will ship before the end of the week. If you want one, reach out to me here or on my personal profile here on FB. Some of you could even all ;)

The price is $39 shipped. First come first served until I can get the next batch made. And as always, if you want something custom, please let me know. I have a few cutting boards and an extra-large gaming table for Warhammer 40k on the list right now.

Just finished these cheese slicers for a great friend. these are made from cherry and walnut. Enjoyed making them so much I'll be starting on a new batch this weekend.

Been super busy lately and getting behind on posting photos. so here's is a small assortment from the last 2 projects.

Keep an eye out for the next few projects, a pink fishing rod for a special young lady and some very unique cutting boards.

Drum sander achievement unlocked. This is hands down my new favorite tool when it comes to cutting boards.

These boards should ship before the end of the week. And then on to a new kitchen table for a great new client.
