๐ก SAUK PRAIRIE HISTORICAL TIDBITS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW!
One of Sauk Cityโs biggest claims to fame is that it became the first incorporated village in Wisconsin in 1854!
One of the earliest businesses in the area was a log store built by D. B. Crocker in Prairie du Sac in 1840. The Wisconsin Historical Society specifically notes that Crocker established the village when he built his log store, which was soon followed by additional settlers and businesses.
Every building has a story. Every business adds a new chapter. Together, the Riverwalk Shops of Sauk Prairie are helping write the next chapter in Water Streetโs remarkable history.
