Bold and bright... a space made for life's most memorable moments!

While the natural light is abundant, we incorporated a lovely gold pendant lamp created by Marcel Wanders and discovered for late night evenings in.

A name grounded in Dutch woodwork, the timeless coat of deep blue with green undertones called is brought to life by the bountiful light in the space.

The nearly translucent shade, , adds understated neutral tone to the ceiling and trim.

Dark and rich, the floors were warmed up and grounded with a coat of for an inviting and earthy appeal.

All colors can be discovered 🤍

I am honored to share that my design collaboration with Almond & Co () x Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca () is now available to view and shop online. Both Almond & Co and Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca are known for their discerning taste, eye for luxury, and unparalleled designer offerings.

Over the past several months, I’ve helped curate, restore, and reupholster a collection of vintage seating in 7 colorways featuring work by renowned designers including Jorge Zalszupin, Gio Ponti, and T.H. Robsjohn Gibbing.

Each unique piece is upholstered in the luxurious color and softness of Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca. The collection came together beautifully and was photographed at the Almond warehouse in San Francisco by Dustin Soriano.

These historically significant pieces are meticulously restored and finished and include subtle details such as this Lounge Chair by W.H. Klein for Bramin, Denmark, 1960s.

This lounge chair is a wonderful Avant-Garde design by H.W. Klein for the Danish design house Bramin Møbler. The chair has a mahogany frame and is adjustable to two different positions.

Powder rooms while small, can be so mighty to design - this one is a very interesting shape and just required a new floor, wall and paintwork treatment.

And, as always we replaced the floor toilet with a wall hung.

The design is a coming together of my favorite craftsmen from both sides of the pond , which speaks to my origins in London and my current residence in Marin.

- Handcrafted tiles by local Marin favorite

- Traditionally crafted wallpaper 'Ocelot' and Elephant's Breath paint.

My favorite part about designing bedrooms for children is holding space for growth.

This child's bedroom is designed to grow with her. To achieve this goal, I removed the existing built-in closet to make way for a bed nook that currently accommodates a twin bed but can fit a queen bed when the time is right.

The color of linen and velvet armchair mirrors the bold wallpaper, tying the look together.

This bright, light home office is the perfect place to think and create.

The fifth wall welcomes movement and height with subdued colored, graphic wallpaper, reminding us that the sky's the limit when we are in our zone of genius.

Little Petra was designed by the Danish architect Viggo Boesen, and first introduced at Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition in 1938. With only about 30 pieces ever produced, the chair became an ultra-rare, highly priced item at auctions. Thanks to &Tradition’s new production, Little Petra is now available to all design enthusiasts.

Design for purpose and illusion…

This bathroom is long and skinny, with a high ceiling, so we wanted to reduce that gallery effect.

Using terrazzo panels, on the walls and floor creates large features of expanse, which translate as space to the eye. There are no visible grout lines or a break in the material, until you get to eye level, additionally the vanity and WC are wall hung, so the maximum amount of floor space is revealed.

The wall tiles have been installed with a no grout finish, to further soften the effect. We ate into the wall behind the mirrored cabinets to create even more depth to the room.

The Japanese soaking tub, is large enough for two children to share a bath, and a wonderful seated and submerged soak for when they become adult size... 😭

And as always we mixed the materials and hardware to create charm and depth of character.

The etched scenic landscape mural is both dramatic and calming for this bedroom. It also echos the landscape beyond the walls.

Layering textures is key to achieving balance in the tonal palette and creating depth in the materials.

The vintage Italian brass and metal sconces are delicate enough not to distract from the balance and height of the room (see the main image) but do add contrast to the mix.

Wallpaper has a reputation for being bold and eye-catching, but it can also be a subtle stunner when paired with contrasting textures.

The oak paneling adds warmth and depth, while the wallpaper keeps things light and bold.

The bed nook has been designed to fit a queen bed (turned 90d) once the twin has been outgrown... 😭

Hi, I am Lisa, the owner and principal designer of Marin-based interior and furniture design firm Lisa le Duc Design. I specialize in lifestyle-led design that combines a mix of modern European and mid-century design furniture, contemporary finishes, traditional craftsmanship, and elegant livability.

I was mainly raised in England and educated in furniture and interior design in London. In 2016, my family and I moved to California.

Today, I am forever finding ways to draw from the beauty of what exists and enhance it, rather than sweep everything away and replace it with all new. Sustainability and style are at the heart of all my design projects.

I am looking forward to showcasing my design approach and inspiration here on Instagram and on my newly launched website, lldd.co.
