My phone switched to photos and I didn’t even get a photo of the train. It switched by itself. I’m not happy with this newer model. It was cool to see it running full speed, I had a perfect view.

For those who don’t know. Sayre rail yard had 2 huge buildings where they built cabooses and steam locomotives. It was a huge complex during its heyday, it included a round house, pump house and more. Having Big Boy spending the night in our rail yard is a big deal to our community. I wanted to explain why I was posting a train on our quilt shop page. My great grandfather was a conductor for Leigh Valley Railroad& many of my grandfathers and uncles worked for Leigh Valley Railroad. The railroad built our communities.
