In June, I had the honor of attending a donor reception for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

As I looked around the room, one thing stood out to me—I was one of the youngest people there… by a lot.

It was a powerful reminder that the responsibility to remember, honor, and continue supporting our nation’s heroes cannot rest with one generation alone.

Twenty-five years after September 11th, many of us remember exactly where we were that day. But there is an entire generation growing up that wasn’t there to witness the courage, sacrifice, and unity that emerged from one of the darkest days in our nation’s history.

That’s why we have to keep telling the stories.

We have to keep sharing the sacrifices of our military, first responders, and the families who have lost so much.

We have to keep teaching our children why we say “Never Forget.”

And we have to keep supporting organizations like the Tunnel to Towers Foundation that ensure those heroes and their families are never forgotten.

The room may have been filled with people who have carried this mission for decades, but it reminded me that it’s now our turn to carry it forward.

Because remembrance isn’t just about looking back.

It’s about ensuring future generations never stop remembering.
