Story Time! There’s a lot of new faces joining along and I’m so grateful you’re here! I thought this is the perfect moment to reintroduce myself as I’m told my face is somewhat elusive around here. My name is Anne Lukan, and in 2018 I founded Anne Lukan Design. My specialty and focus is high-end private residential Interior Architecture & Design. I’m absolutely passionate about what I do and firmly believe that each Client and their residence share a special and unique bond that is waiting to be curated and nurtured through design. I am of the school of thought that design can be powerful and has the ability to affect your quality of life and provide a foundation for your relationships within its walls. Your home is the backdrop to daily interactions, cherished memories and beloved gatherings that should be authentic and soulfully intentioned.
In 2010, I graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Master of Architecture with an emphasis in Interior Architecture. And in 2011, I found myself immersed in the world of luxury Interior Design and grew my experience in high-end commercial spaces, high-end private residential, hospitality, and multi-unit residential developments. Ultimately, my love for the individuality of private residential design has won my intention and focus. We have a residential landscape that needs improvement and quality that I aim to inject into our communities nationwide.
Growing up I had no idea that this field existed and Landscape Architecture was the closest form of design I had been exposed to. Undergraduate programs introduced me to Drafting where the idea of becoming an Architect began to percolate in the back of my mind. Driven by the love of Art and Museums, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from UCSB (Santa Barbara still calls to me from afar!). I believe this unique pairing of art, history, and the overlap of architectural history paired with design theory in architecture provides me with an intuitive foundation and understanding for the poetics of interior spaces.
Enough for now. More later … ♥️
