Not every friendship comes with good intentions and that’s a hard truth to learn.
Some people come into your life not because they genuinely care, but because they see what they can get from you. Your time, your kindness, your support. You show up for them, help them, stand by them… and the moment they think they’ve found something “better,” they walk away like loyalty never mattered.
That’s not friendship. That’s convenience.
And what’s worse? Sometimes the same people you uplift are the ones who talk about you behind your back.
We need to do better.
As women, we should be lifting each other up, not tearing each other down. Supporting, not competing. Protecting each other’s name when they’re not in the room.
Real friendship is rare, but when it’s real, it’s loyal, genuine, and rooted in respect.
Know your worth. Not everyone deserves a seat at your table.

has been one of my closest friends for many years, and I have so much respect for him. He’s a genuine, kind person and a great friend to everyone. I’ve always admired that he’s never crossed boundaries,he’s simply a good man with a good heart.
There was a time I felt completely lost when my stock went up and I didn’t know who to trust or what to do. Rob patiently walked me through everything step by step. Later, when I was buying my first home during such a difficult time for many people, he guided me again and made sure I didn’t get taken advantage of.
Back when I was dating an ass! I would go to Rob to vent. He always listened without judgment and never expected anything in return. That’s just the kind of person he is.
Rob, thank you for always being there for me and for all of us. We truly appreciate you more than you know. Whenever we get together, we always talk about what an amazing person you are. You will always have a place in my heart. My sisters Leah, Viv, and I love you so much. And Thank you for being part of my husband’s birthday celebration. ❤️❤️❤️

I met Bahara during a promotion I was working, and from the very beginning, we just clicked like two goofy peas in a pod. That was over 20 years ago. What started as a simple connection grew into something so much deeper, we became best friends, like sisters, minus the sibling rivalry. At times, I was like a mother to her, minus the nagging, and together we created our own little neighborhood, always looking out for each other and having each other’s backs, mostly because we knew all the dirt on each other. Seeing her again last night filled my heart with joy and my belly with laughter. It felt like no time had passed at all, we picked up right where we left off, laughing like hyenas and making total fools of ourselves. I’ve noticed something about the people in my life: we love to laugh, and with her, the laughter never ends, mostly because we’re both a little quirky. We laughed so hard, reminiscing about the past and all the ridiculous moments we’ve shared. I am so proud of the woman she has become - strong, sassy, and still able to make me laugh like a lunatic. Truly, deeply proud. I love her. 🩷🩷🩷 so nice to see her.

After a lot of reflection, I made a decision that feels deeply aligned with my story…

I’ve changed the title of my book to

UNSHAKABLE

From the Philippines to the life I created

This isn’t just a word, it’s everything I’ve lived through. Every sruggle, every setback, every moment I thought I wouldn’t make it… and somehow did.
Life tested me in ways I never expected, but I kept going. I learned to stand, even when everything around me felt like it was falling apart.

This title represents who I’ve become.
