My hand-knit wool hats are now available at Red Sky Gallery in Lake Forest Park, Washington. They'll be priced at $75 each, and they're surrounded by beautiful artwork and high quality crafts like jewelry and ceramics. How cool!

My new batch of berets is now finished. Each hat is priced at $50. They're all mostly wool. Care instructions: hand wash, dry flat. But wool stays remarkably clean, so you shouldn't need to wash it. (A few of the hats feature 15% mohair, and a few have synthetic fibers in the novelty yarn in the brims.)

My inventory of berets was lacking a bright red one, but it won't be long until this one is finished. This is my favorite yarn—it's called Lanaloft. It's a single-ply American wool yarn, worsted weight, and so luscious.

Local yarnivores: I'll be at the Hillman City Block Party on Saturday, Aug. 10, selling berets designed and knit by me, plus drink cozies designed and knit by me, and yarn, dyed by me. It will be on Rainier Avenue South, in Seattle, around S. Orcas Street. 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (I'll be there from noon to 5 p.m.) I'd love to see you there!

My new pattern, the Rock 'n' Roll Beret, is available on Ravelry as an instant download. The PDF works on any printer, and it contains live links to tutorial videos. It's a sassy, fun pattern. Fair warning, though, the hardest parts are the provisional cast on and joining the hem with two circular needles. Once that's done, you're on the home stretch. Happy knitting, my lovely friends.
