Let's make a trifle parfait! This has the layers of a trifle, but the individual size of a parfait.
We had guests over Sunday after a fun lake day. I wanted to serve an easy dessert that didn't require baking & this is what I made. Recipe will be in comments & eventually stories 😊
•You can substitute store bought whipped cream/Cool Whip for an even easier option.
•You can set out each ingredient in a dessert bar & let guests assemble their own.

Love this time of year when I can cut flowers from our garden and the sun stays out until 9.
I used the last of our peonies & some campanula on the table. The first of our hydrangea blooms in the watering can & more campanula on the potting table.
I meant to take the kids strawberry picking, but the last week of school was so busy! So store bought berries & cake it was. Enjoy the weekend!

Right after my daughter was born, we built this pergola trellis arbor (it's a bit of everything!) to support our roses. The previous owners had planted a ton of roses! I transplanted some from other areas to this side yard. I envisioned a rose covered walkway. It took some time to train the roses and fill in. But now the pergola bursts with blooms and its a reminder of when our daughter was born 😊 Gotta follow your vision.

Yesterday was 82 but today we will have a high of 57. That's spring for you. Sharing a mimic challenge where we had to copy a picnic scene. My 4 year old really enjoyed this set up. I brought her snacks out & she brought her stuffies 😊 Let me know what you think!

Wishing everyone a happy weekend!
So many of our peonies bloomed this week! They are the Coral Charm variety. I placed some in this old watering can. I had bought it at an antique store. I think the owner had been using it as an ashtray. When I asked to buy it, he seemed surprised haha. But he cleaned it up and sold it to me for $1. I clipped flowers from our rhododendron and placed them in a vintave Ball jar. The rest sort of came together.

•Flavored cream cheese (the oomph) I used a cilantro lime flavor.
•Smoked salmon

Usually my vintage picnic basket holds a stash of magazines, but I dusted her off & brought her out to play!
