A little edgy, yet deeply relaxing. ✨
This master bathroom remodel brings together renderings and a mood board that truly speak to one another.

When a space feels effortless and calm, it’s never by accident. Behind the scenes are many hours spent refining layouts, selecting materials and colors, and carefully working within existing conditions to make sure every detail feels intentional.

Our client dreamed of a spa-like primary bathroom with a subtle wow factor—one that feels elevated but still fits seamlessly with the home’s existing style. Creating that balance takes time, thought, and a lot of attention to how all the pieces work together.

Every project starts with listening. After meeting with the client, discussing goals, style, and budget, and completing site measurements, the fun part begins—creating a story. We pull inspiration, explore textures, and build a mood board that becomes the foundation of the entire design.

We never start without a mood board. It keeps us focused and ensures every decision supports the atmosphere we’re creating.

Thinking about updating your bathroom—or planning a renovation that feels both beautiful and functional?
We’d love to help.

Feel free to message us or reach out to start the conversation. Let’s create a space you’ll love coming home to.

Podcast: “Clever” — Designers Amy Devers and Jaime Derringer interview creative professionals, revealing their process and how they bring visions to life.
“Diving into creative minds from around the world.”

🎬 We Watch:
TV Series: “Abstract: The Art of Design” — This Netflix documentary series dives deep into the minds of visionary designers across disciplines, revealing the artistry behind everything from typography to architecture. All the episodes are captivating — I honestly can’t pick a favorite. But if I had to choose, I’d go with Bjarke Ingels: Architecture. That one really speaks to me - maybe it’s my architectural background, but his visionary approach hits home;)
“A celebration of creativity and the diverse languages of design.”

🎶 We Are Inspired By:
Design Studio: “Trone” — Parisian bathroom fixture manufacturer reimagining the toilet from the inside out. From materials and ergonomics to hygiene, comfort, and spatial experience — nothing is left untouched. One of our pick is the sink Orbe - soft with the character look!
“Redefining everyday rituals through bold, human-centered design.”

The Unexpected Red Theory is a design concept that suggests adding an unexpected touch of red to a space—especially where it seems unplanned or out of place—creates visual intrigue and elevates the overall design. The idea is that red, even in small doses, adds warmth, energy, and a sense of intentionality, making a space feel more dynamic and considered.

We unintentionally applied the Unexpected Red Theory in the Redmond Full House Remodel!

P.S. More unexpected red items are coming… stay tuned 😉

Redmond House remodel project. Let’s take a moment to explore the view from the dining room into the living room and office. At AHDesign, our goal was to create a space that truly reflects the vibrant and dynamic life of our clients—a family of four consisting of a wife, husband, and their two teenage sons. This family isn’t just active; they’re artistic and multifaceted, with passions ranging from hiking and traveling to singing, painting, and even theater. In crafting this space, we aimed to blend all these elements into a design that felt both cohesive and invigorating, without overwhelming the senses. We strived to achieve a balance—playful yet cozy, light yet energized. Taking into consideration that some of the existing furniture pieces will be reused such as both navy blue leather sofas.

To do this, we incorporated vertical elements throughout the space, complemented by a few round, soft-edged features that added a touch of warmth and contrast. One key design element was the wooden plank divider. Initially, we had planned to completely remove the wall to create an open entryway. However, when the structural engineer advised that part of the wall needed to remain, we had to pivot. We experimented with various layouts and wood plank designs until we landed on a solution that seamlessly blended form and function.

Thrilled to share a glimpse of our latest rendering for a master bathroom retreat in Bellevue! Our goal was to create a space that feels timeless, refined, and restorative—where thoughtful materials, warm textures, and balanced lighting work in harmony.
From the double sink vanity and curated fixtures to the soft natural tones and sculptural forms, every detail was selected to evoke calm and sophistication. It’s always rewarding to bring a client’s vision to life through renderings that spark imagination and excitement.

More to come as this project progresses—stay tuned!

🎬 Movie: “Home Alone”
Of course! As we inch closer to the Christmas holiday, it’s the perfect time to rewatch this iconic film of the season. A timeless classic showcasing cozy interiors that spark nostalgia and warmth. Personally it takes me back to my childhood and unforgettable charm of 90s—a truly unique era.

What’s your favorite Christmas movie that brings you back to your childhood?
