created this dreamy “Ancient Oceans” glaze combination using four different glazes, with some areas getting up to 10 layers (!!) to build all that movement, depth, and variation.

And underneath it all? SPS Klamath Yellow. Its warm red-orange fired color peeks through the center and gives those watery blues and earthy tones one seriously good backdrop.

Proof that sometimes all those test tiles and questionable kiln openings eventually pay off!

Sometimes the best glaze is the one that lets your work do the talking. ✨

Our Clear Glaze provides a smooth, glossy finish while letting your clay body, carvings, textures, and underglaze designs shine through.

Need to restock your studio? SPS offers both wet and dry options, whether you just need a pint or enough to make a couple buckets worth.

Okayyy, this gradient. 🌈😍

layered two coats of Flux Blossom with two coats each of Chun Plum, Smokey Merlot, Indigo Float, and Emerald Falls to create this colorful transition over SPS Klamath Red clay.

The way all those colors melt into each other against the warm clay body? Very into it.

Scientists can't explain it.

You leave the glaze aisle for five minutes... and somehow it's fully stocked again. ✨

We're not saying the SPS Glaze Fairy is real... we're just saying we've never seen evidence to the contrary. 🧚

Follow along as we use a simple tape resist technique to create crisp, clean designs on bisque. It's an easy way to add bold patterns with minimal effort, and one of those techniques that's as satisfying to peel as it is to glaze.

What decorating technique should we demo next?

This beautiful leaf dish by captures the delicate details of an aspen leaf in SPS Dove Porcelain. The smooth surface and fine detail retention of Dove Porcelain make it especially well suited for work like this, where every vein and texture gets a chance to shine.

A lovely reminder that inspiration is often right outside the studio door.

Who says clay is just for mugs and bowls? ✨

Follow along as we turn clay into handmade ceramic jewelry. Whether you're making earrings, pendants, or beads, it's a fun way to try something a little different with your next batch of clay.

High-temperature wire is ESSENTIAL and we love her.

With its great structure, super soft slip, and smooth feel, Klamath White is a favorite for both throwing and handbuilding. It's sturdy enough to hold its shape while still being incredibly enjoyable to work with from start to finish.

Have you tried Klamath White yet? We'd love to hear what you're making with it!

Check out these test tiles and see which combination catches your eye. You never know when you'll discover your next favorite glaze pairing.
