And this is why your refills took so long. (I kid, I kid!)

Wow!! You really showed up for LULUMIÈRE and Station 7 yesterday. Thank you! It was a huge comfort to see familiar faces and get to hug some of you. And it was really fun meeting new people too! Thank you for your patience as we tried our best to do 2 hour turnaround but didn’t quite make it for several orders. That might have been a little ambitious given the number of refills we did in a short amount of time. For each candle, we evaluate the diameter, container material and chosen scent to determine which wick to use and how many wicks would give the best possible burn, plus calculate how much scent should go in. Truly custom fills for each of your candles!

We filled 79 candles in 3 hours, varying from 2 ounce to 22 ounce sizes. Most of them we did single wick but we had lots of double wick candles and one 5-wick candle! While most of them were Northwest, the other scents that were chosen a bunch were Hinoki, Yuzu, White Tea and Mandarin.

We had so much fun with you. Please stay tuned for details for a possible fall refill event. And know that you can always get freshly made LULUMIÈRE candles at Station 7. Until then, save those empties for next time!

Can’t wait to see what you bring in for my Candle Refill Popup on Saturday, 2/21!! Please just make sure your candle containers are super clean and ready to go! I won’t have my shop setup so we are not able to help with containers that still have wax or metal wick holders on the bottom. But I’ve got you covered with exactly what we would do if you brought in not quite clean containers at my old shop:

➡️ Pour in some hot or boiling water.
➡️ Wait 5 minutes
➡️ Scoop everything out (use a spoon to remove a stubborn metal wick holder)
➡️ Wash out with soapy water!

A toast to you, the LULUMIÈRE community, who is the most loyal, generous, uplifting group of people I could ever hope for. You have changed my life for the better.

And I guess the thing is, I’m not done just yet. I found myself coming back to candles this holiday season in a small way. And I loved it! Thank you for sticking around. There is more to come.
