🌿 Just One Woman, Doing What She Can 🐾
Hi, I’m Doniele Disney-Humphrey. I’m not a hero—just someone doing her best to make a difference. Since 2015, I’ve been building Cudabears Lair Animal Sanctuary with grit, heart, and a deep belief that every life deserves compassion.

I juggle a full-time job, family, and the daily responsibilities of running a sanctuary. It’s not glamorous—it’s early mornings, late nights, and a lot of learning as I go. But it’s also deeply rewarding.

Outside the sanctuary, I’ve owned & operated several antique shops over the years. That passion for history and character still lives in me—whether I’m restoring a vintage piece or planning a community event. One of the most joyful ways I support the rescue is through beer b***o events though. They’re lighthearted, fun, and they help raise vital funds for the animals in our care.

This sanctuary isn’t just my work—it’s a family effort. From feeding and cleaning to helping with events and outreach, my loved ones stand beside me every step of the way. Their support makes the impossible feel possible.

I never set out to be the face of a movement. I just followed my heart. And over time, this little sanctuary became a place of healing—not just for animals, but for people too.

Whether you’ve known me for years or are just learning about Cudabears Lair, thank you for being here. Every bit of support—donations, encouragement, shared stories—helps keep this mission alive.
