Well everyone, I finally made it happen. Between months of trial, error, and kiln repairs I finally was able to make this piece come to life. I really feel like this is the true start of my art journey.

Digital painting is hard y’all 🥵

This feels like quite the learning curve, but after stepping away for a bit and coming back to it, I don’t think it looks nearly as awful as I initially thought. Why go digital? Well eventually the goal is to take a piece like this and render it into kilnformed glass. Just have to get that dang kiln back up and running.

It's amazing to me that even with such a dry winter that these little guys are able to create the most vibrant blooms. In a sea of yellow this pink stands out for what seems like miles. If pink glass wasn't so ridiculously expensive I'd consider creating this!
