Happy Monday, Woodsy Friends - it’s good to be back in beautiful Washington where the sun is (currently) shining, the birds are singing and the bees are buzzing!
We had a wonderful time, it’s impossible to give a best memory - other than relaxing and getting away from the stressful bustle of everyday life. We loved the little towns where time seems to stand still and the people are friendly and welcoming. I will slowly share some of my finds with you - I didn’t really get one big thing or anything super special, out of the ordinary. We shipped most of my finds home and the box should arrive this afternoon.

I’m up for a challenge and just fell in love with this sweet little dress - she obviously has some issues, but I was given a real bargain of a price as it was almost closing time. I intend to fix her up so I can wear it!

Thank you for following our trip and your encouraging comments. This was a bucket list item for me - it may be a “one and done”, but I’m so glad that we were able to go. Have a great week - it’s almost summer!

The last full day of our trip we visited the Norman Rockwell museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. I’m so glad a friend mentioned it to me or we would have totally missed it - the museum is literally in the middle of nowhere, but well worth the side trip. One whole wing was dedicated to the 323 covers he illustrated for The Saturday Evening Post from 1916 to 1963. He was only 22 years old when he did his first one!

Our last day at Brimfield gave us Washington weather! My husband was a real trooper - we made it 3 hours in the rain before deciding to wrap it up. I felt sorry for some of the vendors who looked so utterly miserable. I hope they have blue skies tomorrow and the rest of the week. We are off to Cooperstown!

First time at .antique.flea.market - the weather was perfect. The day started out a little chilly, so I bought a wool Fair Isle sweater which came off quite quickly as the day got hotter. There were pretty obvious trends that we both noticed - lots of workwear, army surplus and ripped up denim!
I found lots of cheap linens, enjoyed a delicious Mediterranean grilled chicken salad bowl (best ever!) and had a huge blister on my toe by the end of the day!

Day #2 - was an overwhelming experience I was not prepared for! So many beautiful things that are totally different than what we find in Washington State. It was a day for gorgeous quilts, where I just happened to run into Sarah from . It always fun to meet someone you follow on Instagram when they are just as nice in person as they are on social media. Tomorrow is the big day in the fields!!
(So jealous of these crazy gas prices!)

This is the day for the “…after hours” event at The Local Shop!
I do have to make a confession here - I am probably not going to be there in person until about 8:00. Because I wanted to participate in this event so badly, I double booked myself knowing that my daughters could fill in for me until I got there!

Not to fear - they are totally capable of taking care of you! They have both helped me at many other shows and will be able to answer all of your questions. Not only that, but they are “boy moms”, so nothing will phase them!

If you’ve ever wanted a quilt coat of your own, this is your chance! I will have at least 3 finished for
the “…after hours….” event. This night of shopping is open to both ladies and gentlemen, which takes all of the guesswork out of Valentine gift giving. I hope to see you all there ❤️
