As a small business—ok, a very small business—our day-to-day expectations are to make great handcrafted products, meet wonderful customers, get to know the people in our community, and provide a fantastic downtown shopping experience.

Well, what we didn’t expect this week was to be paid a visit by Wyoming gubernatorial candidate, Megan Degenfelder, during her recent stop in Sheridan. Megan came by the shop to learn more about our small business—our successes, challenges, and our goals and dreams. She asked about our vision for Wyoming’s future, and even about the things that keep us up at night as we raise a family and hope to provide the best life possible for our daughters. It was a productive discussion and we sincerely appreciate Megan taking the time to speak with us both, and hope other representatives and candidates around the state are doing the same in communities everywhere. We welcome any and all candidates who, like Megan, care to learn a bit more about what we do at WYO Candle Co. and who we are as citizens of this great state we all call home.

Friends, Katie Coyne, one of our winning artists from the Buffalo contest, recently had a piece of artwork stolen from the fairgrounds fence. Please keep an eye out, this is a major bummer for an artist we all know and love here in Sheridan.
